Washington, D.C.

Washington, D.C.

A city built on a grid, planned from the beginning to project power and permanence. Washington, D.C. is Pierre Charles L'Enfant's diagonal avenues cutting across the city's blocks, the National Mall anchoring everything to the Potomac, and neighborhoods like Capitol Hill and Georgetown carrying centuries of history in their street names.

This laser-cut mini map captures D.C.'s unmistakable layout — the radiating avenues, the Tidal Basin, the rivers, and the city's distinct quadrant structure. Cut from two layers of hand-sanded Baltic birch plywood with a vibrant blue painted base, it's a piece as deliberate and detailed as the city itself.

For the policy wonk, the history lover, or anyone who's ever called the District home. Need a larger size or a framed version? We make these by hand — reach out before ordering.
